Thursday Crash Caused by Icy Conditions Injures Two Women

Posted on February 12th, 2010 No Comments

Adverse weather conditions are blamed for an accident that occurred Thursday morning on Interstate 57, south of Tantoul.

A twenty-year-old woman from Chicago Ridge was driving southbound in the right lane with another woman around 7:45 a.m. when she lost control of her car after hitting a patch of ice. Her vehicle crashed into an SUV that was also travelling southbound in the left-hand lane and spun onto the right shoulder. The other vehicle was pushed into the median. The two women were injured, but the 35-year-old driver of the SUV refused medical treatment.
