‘Colorful Hearts Teddy’ recalled by Build-A-Bear

Build-A-Bear, the popular toy manufacturer, along with the U.S. Consumer Product and Safety Commission has announced the recall of nearly 300,000 teddy bears after it was discovered that they may be a choking hazard.

According to officials, the eye buttons may become lose and fall off and young children may put it in their mouths and choke on the small piece. The bear was sold from April to December 2011 throughout the nation and also in Canada.

There have been no injuries reported, but the recall has been done for a precautionary measure. Consumers who purchased the bear have been told to return it to the store to receive a new Build-A-Bear.
