Bobby Jenks facing serious back issue from possible doctor error

Posted on February 23rd, 2012 No Comments

Representatives for Bobby Jenks, pitcher for the Red Sox, are discussing whether or not he will take legal action against doctors after an error occurred while he was in surgery in December.

Jenks recently told reporters that the he went into surgery at Mass. General on Dec. 12 in order to remove two back spurts. Jenks also had two other back spurts that were not supposed to be touched. One of these back spurts was partially removed and an incision was left in his spine.

Two and half weeks later, Jenks began to wake up with painful headaches he described as if being hit by a ‘sledgehammer.’ By the 30th of the month, the pain was so bad he went to the hospital where he had emergency surgery.

In today’s society, we depend on doctors to perform surgery correctly because medical mistakes can cause serious injury or worse. If you orĀ  a loved one has been the victim of medical malpractice, you need representation on your side during this time to help you fight for the justice and compensation that you deserve for your pain. Pfizer announces recall of 1 million birth control packs due to packaging error

Posted on February 3rd, 2012 No Comments

Pfizer has announced the recall of nearly one million packs of the oral contraceptive pills, L0/Ovral-28 tablets, due to an error that may increase the chance that a woman could become pregnant.

The recalled products include 14 lots of the Lo/Ovral-28 tablets as well as the generic versions of it. The generic versions include, Ethinyl Estradiol and Norgestrel. It was found that the packets involved in the recall have either too many or too few active tablets in them.

A normal package is supposed to consist of 21 hormone tablets and 2 sugar pills, or inactive tablets. A packaging and inspection error caused the number of active pills to be incorrect. The affected packs have expiration dates between July 2013 and March 2014.

If you or a loved one has taken a defective pharmaceutical product that was later recalled and suffered from the side effects, you need representation on your side that may be able to help you receive the compensation that you deserve.
