Two deaths in Ford County head-on collision

In a head-on collision Tuesday evening, two drivers were killed in the rural community of Ford County. The accident occurred when one of the drivers drifted into oncoming traffic, first clipping a trailer being towed by a semi-tractor and then colliding with another motorist’s pickup truck head-on.

The drivers—Jack D. Moody, 77, and Debra Lowe,51—both died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. Moody was pronounced dead at the scene while Lowe later died after being airlifted to the hospital.

According to Ford County Coroner Doug Wallace, it does not appear that Moody was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Furthermore, the potentially life-saving airbags in Moody’s vehicle never deployed.

The thoughts of everyone at the firm go out to the family members and love ones of those lost in this terrible accident.
