Collision East of Rantoul Sends Three to Hospital

On Saturday, November 22nd, three people were hospitalized as the result of a head on collision east of Rantoul. Champaign resident, Cara Holt, 19, side swiped a car after crossing over the center lane in her Dodge Neon. The driver of the other vehicle was a woman, 46, from Green Valley.

Holt then proceeded to hit another driver, a man from Indianapolis, head on in the westbound lane. After hitting the man head on, Holt’s vehicle blocked the road, causing a blockade for over two hours. The drivers of both vehicles that were hit were wearing their seat belts.
