Rear-end collisions are most common farm vehicle accident

Posted on June 3rd, 2010 No Comments

According to a report from the U.S Department of Agriculture’s National Agriculture Safety Database, farm vehicles are mostly involved in rear-end collisions because it can be hard to determine the speed of a slow moving vehicle.

Also, it can be difficult to slow down in time when your car is traveling at a speed of 55 mph and a farm vehicle ahead of you is traveling at 15 mph. Drivers are encouraged to apply their brakes as if they are approaching a stop light when a farm vehicle is on the road in front of the driver.
