A 20-year-old man was allegedly fleeing police after an attempted traffic stop when his car crashed into the house. A Kankakee woman was killed Friday on Illinois Route 50 when she was involved in an accident with a semi truck.
According to reports, the woman and the semi truck were both driving southbound on Route 50 when the 30-year-old mother of three turned suddenly in front of the truck. Witnesses said the turn seemed abrupt and unwarranted, given that there was no intersection in the area. The woman, who owned the Wisteria Day Spa, died as the result of her injuries.
