Twisters in Midwest leave 12 dead
Twisters ripped through the Midwest leaving 12 people dead and piles of debris and damage.
According to the Washington Post, one tornado in Harrisburg, Illinois was rated an EF4, the second highest rating that is given to twisters. Scientists have stated that this twister was traveling with winds of 175 mph and was over 200 yards long. Six people were killed in this town.
At least 37 people have been injured as a result of the twisters. Branson, Missouri, a huge tourist spot for country music, also had a tornado ravage the area. A famous theater in Branson was heavily damaged. More harsh weather is expected in area in the near future.
