Injuries Reported in Suspected Drunk Driving Accident
Last Saturday evening, two vehicles collided along Indiana Route 71 just southwest of Newport, Indiana. Police have indicated that they believe that alcohol and drug use contributed to the circumstances of the accident.
Prior to the accident, Vermilion County Sheriff Mike Phelps stated that the 2007 Chrysler van that caused the incident was reported to have been driven through a yard and corn fields. The vehicle was being operated by Bradley Clore, a 25-year-old male from Cayuga, Indiana.
Several minutes after the report, police say that Clore failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a 2012 Chevrolet truck that was being operated by a 17-year-old male. The force of the accident pushed both vehicles into a nearby ditch. The juvenile driver and his mother were both injured in the accident.
Clore was airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after being treated at Union Hospital. Brody Wolf, the 18-year-old passenger in Clore’s van, was also treated at Union Hospital after initially refusing medical treatment.
As of Wednesday, Commercial News reports that the incident remained under investigation by the Vermilion County Prosecutor’s Office. The thoughts of our entire Spiros Law, P.C., legal team are with those who were injured in the accident.
