Tractor trailer overturns in two truck accident
A truck driver caused traffic delays on I-57 after hitting a southbound tractor trailer and overturning his own tractor trailer. The overturned 18-wheeler was carrying large rolls of paper, which had to be cleaned from the median after the truck was returned to an upright position.
The driver at fault, Randy J. Newman, lost control of his truck after traveling at an unsafe speed. When Newman’s truck rolled over, mud that was kicked up and thrown in the incident damaged a northbound Chevrolet Impala, as well. Though one passenger in the Impala suffered minor injuries, no one involved in the incident asked to receive medical attention. Newman received a traffic violation for speeding.
