Two Hospitalized After Crash in Southwestern Champaign
A two-vehicle collision occurred at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Country Road 200 E and Monticello Road 1000N, midway between Seymour and Ivesdale Illinois. Champaign County sheriff’s Sargent Dave Sherrick stated that Keegan Morfey, 18, of Camargo failed to stop at Monticello Road, causing him to collide with a Midwest Pottyhouse pickup truck driven by Dirk Hardyman, 51, of Camargo. The pickup truck hit the passenger side of Morfey’s vehicle with substantial force and it was reported that both vehicles were heavily damaged as a result of the collision. Both men were sent to area hospitals, however, their conditions have not been released to the public. No tickets have been issued on Wednesday as the accident is still being investigated.
