Collision Near Cissna Park Claims One Life

A recent motor vehicle collision resulted in the unfortunate death of one of the drivers. The crash occurred between a 2005 Chevrolet Impala and a tractor that was pulling two loaded grain wagons. According to the police report, a 28-year-old male, of Cissna Park, was traveling on Illinois Route 49 at 979N Road in Iroquois County, just north of Cissna Park. The Chevrolet Impala rear-ended a grain wagon being pulled by a tractor that was turning onto a property off the road and was being driven by a 63-year-old man from Onarga. Both drivers were transported to local area hospitals where the driver of the tractor was treated for minor injuries and the driver of the Impala was, unfortunately, pronounced dead.
