Motorcyclist Killed in Collision
A collision between a car and a motorcycle occurred in northwestern Moultrie County and resulted in the unfortunate death of the driver of the motorcycle. According to the Illinois State Police, the victim was a 52-year-old man from Lovington, IL. It was reported that he was traveling west on County Road 2400 N when a 24-year-old driver failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling southbound on County Road 400 E. The motorcycle was unable to stop and hit the driver’s side door of the car that ran the stop sign and was thrown from the motorcycle. The driver of the car was issued a ticket for disobeying a stop sign.
