What is premises liability?
Premises liability law is the body of law that makes property owners responsible for certain injuries suffered by individuals on their property. These laws apply to an area of land and its buildings.
Any time a person suffers from an injury because of poorly maintained property, it is possible for the owner to be held liable for the injuries of the accident victim. Accidents caused by dangerous property can result in broken bone, severe lacerations, spine and brain injuries, or worse.
