Central Illinois police officials have recently reported on an all-terrain vehicle accident that took the life of a 24-year-old Chatsworth man.
The county coroner in Mclean County has stated that the man was pronounced dead late Saturday and an autopsy investigating his death has now been planned. The accident report shows that it occurred just 20 miles east of Bloomington when the man and the ATV were found in a ravine in the area.
Emergency crews reported that three people near the scene were not seriously injured in the collision. Police investigators are still trying to determine what caused the young man to crash.
All terrain vehicles can be a fun and adventurous way to travel around, but if a driver is not careful, serious accidents can occur. Because of the lack of steel armor around an ATV, serious injury can occur as the result of an accident. Our deepest thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim in this accident.
