Police looking for witnesses in bus / pedestrian accident
Police in Champaign are looking for anyone who can provide witness information regarding a bus accident that occurred earlier this week. According to reports, a Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District bus struck a 59-year-old woman on Wednesday at the intersection of Logan and Walnut.
The victim was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital where she remains in critical condition after suffering serious foot and leg injuries. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident to call either 351-4545 (police) or 373-TIPS (Crimestoppers).
