A single-vehicle collision resulted in the death of three men and the injury of one other. The unfortunate incident occurred on the evening of Saturday, October 29th on Homer Lake Road. According to Police reports, the vehicle was traveling along Homer Lake Road North when it left the roadway and struck a building and a tree. When Police arrived on the scene, the driver and two of the passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. There was one other passenger who was transported to Carle Hospital in Urbana for their injuries. The cause of the crash has not yet been reported and the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit, and the Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the incident.
