Three children and two adults killed in collision with semi-truck on I-30
A deadly collision involving five vehicles resulted in the deaths of two adults and three children in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Four of the victims were from Champaign County. While authorities are still investigating the cause of the deadly crash, we do know that the victims include the 64-year-old driver of a semi-truck, a 41-year old mother of three, her two sons (aged 9 and 6), and her two-year-old daughter.
The father of the victims, a 42-year-old man from Savoy, was flown to a nearby trauma center for immediate medical attention. He was traveling with his family in their 2011 Toyota Sienna when the accident occurred. Another semi-truck and two other vehicles were also involved in the collision, and the drivers and another passenger were all transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
