Three teens injured in Dewey accident

Three teens were injured in a car accident just south of Dewey on Monday.

According to officials, the accident occurred just south of U.S. 136  when the 16-year-old driver ran off the side of the road. She then over-corrected and went across the other side of the road before the vehicle overturned into a corn field.

There were three people in the car with her during the crash and their ages were 15, 16 and 19. They were all taken by ambulance to Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. The driver of the car was charged with driving too fast for the conditions. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
