The News-Gazette recently reported that on Monday, July 21 two trucking accidents in Will County resulted in the death of five people. As a result, one of the semi drivers involved was charged for entering falsified records into his logbook.

One accident occurred around 2 p.m. at Interstate 55 near Channahon when a truck driver suddenly cut through numerous lanes, crushing a couple of passenger vehicles and  striking another. In addition to multiple victims sustaining critical injuries,  four victims lost their lives.

Another trucking accident occurred around the same time on Interstate 55 at Route 6 when two semi’s collided. The drivers involved in the accident were transported to a hospital where one eventually passed away.
