Two Vehicle Collision Leads To Death Of One, Injury Of Four

A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Champaign County, Illinois earlier this week. The crash, which left four others injured, was said to be due to a vehicle not stopping at a stop sign. According to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, a Dodge pickup truck was traveling Southbound on Staley Road and ran through a stop sign while crossing Monticello Road. When it ran the stop sign, the Dodge pickup struck a Ford SUV. The driver of the Ford SUV was, unfortunately, pronounced dead at the scene. In addition to the one fatality, two passengers from the Ford SUV as well as the driver and a passenger from the Dodge pickup were transported by ambulance to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. According to the release, all injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
